As we wend our way to Istanbul, we have a stopover in Singapore. If I am honest, Brisbane international airport is a bit of a dive – so little to see and do but Changi Airport in Singapore takes airports to a whole new level.
The airport complex covers much the same area that Brisbane CBD sprawls to, 3 terminals each packed with shops, eateries, sculpture gardens, butterfly enclosures, koi carp pools and more and transport systems in place to get between them.
As we had some time here, we started with a rooftop swim – much more refreshing than a shower, followed by a light dinner before finding our transit lounge. It is late, we are tired – neither of us managed to get any sleep on the previous leg but are hoping to catch a few Zs on the next leg before we alight in Istanbul.
…last call, all aboard
