Who is our Trip Advisor?

So we had our dates and flights decided. Next job was to find and book accommodation. We like to self cater; not only does it save money, it gives us a chance to look and try local produce. Grocery shopping can be a tourist activity. We drew up a must-have list for our self catering stays – full kitchen, laundry, (free) wifi, (free) parking when touring. When planning our last big holiday, I used the criteria that all our accommodation had to have a ”web” presence. I found that many of the places I chose were also listed on TripAdvisor. This time I used TripAdvisor almost exclusively – if it didn’t have good reviews, I didn’t consider it. I drew up a shortlist of possibilities; I then checked their websites and emailed them before making the final decision. All bookings were made online. I intend to write reviews for all the places we stay.
