It is rare that a simple bit of geometry is so lovely but this floral pot combines glorious proportion and an efficient use of the sheet:
A simple(ish) twirl causes the vase shape. I must work out how to fold this without the pre-creasing scars as I think this would look beautiful in large format hand-made paper.
It also occurred to me that this would make an absolutely brilliant cupcake/muffin paper, albeit a bit of a pain to make I suspect a tumescent cakey filling would be a special joy … must experiment.
I must search out more of Jeff Beynon’s folds, they seem to have a gentle charm not unlike the best of Tomoko Fuse.
