Thanks for the suggestion Simon, this little “Reaper” does not look so grim:
A relatively simple fold, few features, suggestive of form, I like it. Looks a little like a Dementor from Harry Potter’s world (except it is carrying a worrying scythe).
Why a Grim Reaper? One computer dies, another is built to replace it, the process is not always painless – you get that.
Very cool. Is the pattern published? I’ve not been very impressed by most humanoid patterns that I’ve tried (and I am not good at drawing people, either so people art is something I usually avoid altogether :-)…
However I really like abstract/suggestive models that hit home like this one – no mistaking what it is at all, and yet so “simple”. I would love to be able to add this one to my repetroire (the few patterns that I can commit to memory to make on a moment’s notice when the situtation fits). What a great leave behind 😉
Keep folding – it’s an inspiration (and a good source of pattern references when my vast collection of books leaves me hanging).

yes, it is a cute model, simple but demonstrative of form – published at http://www.glynnorigami.co.uk/Characters.htm
