Leafing through “Folding Australia 2016”, the Sydney Origami Society Convention book (in which I have a model published :)) I came across a cute little carp designed by Mindaugas Cesnavicius:

An ingenious design based on the pony base that teases lovely eyes and mouth, fins and a tail while managing the colour changes beautifully.

The result is a difficult to photograph model that does not want to stand (I used a stand with a clip for display) but a lovely detailed and recognisable catfish/carp.

Looking at his Flickr account, he seems to be a prolific designer, this is the first of his designs I have seen. I must try to find diagrams of some of his other works.
